Point of Violence

I’m very pleased to be working with Millennium Films and Dobre Films on a new project, Point of Violence. A great script by Tony Mosher with a truly exciting concept. Stay tuned!

See Deadline’s news release.

A few months ago I started listening to Filmspotting podcasts. It is really excellent, right up my alley. Not only do the hosts Adam and Josh talk about movies in a more intelligent and thorough way than I’ve ever encountered before, but more importantly they embrace all sorts of movies, basically the complete spectrum. And no matter what the film is, they always talk about it with the utmost respect and generosity. Plus, they have a great sense of humor. Please check it out.

Here’s hoping they’ll be talking about my own work in the future!

US trailer for Black's Game

Be careful though, the trailer is for “restricted” audiences only:

EDDA Awards 2013

I’m honored and grateful that BLACK’S GAME picked up 3 EDDA Awards yesterday (the Icelandic film & TV awards). María Birta for Best Supporting Actress, Damon Younger for Best Supporting Actor and I got an award for Best Screenplay. You can read more about the awards here.

Happy new year!

2012 didn’t turn out too bad. It saw the birth of both a daughter and first feature. Could be a lot worse. Not to mention moving to LA and meeting a ton of great people plus reconnecting with old friends. Could be a lot worse indeed.

While grateful for my fortunes and good luck last year, here’s hoping the good run continues in 2013. Cheers!

US Premiere - Black's Game

Black’s Game will have its US premiere at the Chicago International Film Festival later this month. Screening dates are October 15, 19 & 20. I will be attending on the 19 & 20th. Very excited!

Moving to Los Angeles

Tomorrow I fly out with the family to Los Angeles. We’ve been planning this for a few months now, but it doesn’t matter, there’s always sleep deprivation and craziness in the last few days before departure. Now I just wanna get it over with pronto, can’t wait to see if I’ll find the City of Angels to be quite that...
